    Another road trip!

Well, I am happy to report that tomorrow I go on another road trip! This time to OHIO!!
Life has been good...great, actually. God has so blessed me! I am loving school, classes, my living space, my nature surrounding, food, friends, sense of adventure, random wildness, hope, spring, possibilities...
    It's all good, ya know?
The family's good and I'm looking forward to a few days of rest, reading, journaling, and BEING in Ohio.

    Peace out!

  • Hotness in Austin, TX

    hey everybody!

Well, I am back in good old Texas! I love it here! I've been back for about two weeks and now I am in Austin. This week I'll be watching the same three kids that I watched last year while their parents were in Israel. Now they're gone again and I'm doing the whole thing over again for a week. Today we went swimming--it was fun :)

School starts again in about 3 weeks--hard to believe! The summer has gone by so fast. It seems even faster for me because I had already had about 7 wks in Toccoa before I came to TX and so the time here now is flying too! but it's been a wonderful summer. It's been hot, but quite relaxing. I have really enjoying reading, journaling, praying, and thinking as much as I have been able to.

Tomorrow is my friend's birthday. She'll be 20 and she has a beautiful month-old baby. They are precious.

Question of the day: How do you integrate your personal values and faith in your workplace?

  • Jolly Day in Toccoa

Well, not much going on over here...

Yesterday was a beautiful day--it wasn't too hot, the evening cooled down, the sunset displayed amazing colors, and I felt like I was surrounded by peace and joy all day. Man, the Lord is good and faithful!

Tomorrow until Saturday I'll be in Atlanta Fest, so I'm looking forward to that! Christian music artists like Building 429, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, etc... are gonne be there. And I'll be there to represent Toccoa Falls College!!

May you all be blessed and keep your eyes open to what God is doing and saying around you!

  • Praying for healing in ATL mall

So yesterday, me and some friends from the Jesus Culture conference I've been attending since Thursday went to the Phipps mall in Atlanta. It's a real high-class, fancy kind of mall that Christians apparently avoid because it's such a hard place to reach people and what not.

Well, me and about 8 other people split up into 3s and started walking around the mall. Before we went out, we took time to pray and ask God to show us pictures, words, impressions, or whatever to be looking for at the mall. So then we walked around the mall looking for these things. I had a girl w/ a yellow dress come to my mind, one guy had the picture of a white polo shirt w/ a blue symbol on it, etc...
We walked up the escalator and saw an elderly man sitting by himself. He started talking to him and just asked him if we could pray a blessing over him. After we prayed for him, we realized he had on a white polo shirt w/ a blue symbol on it!! Then his wife came out and I asked her if she had any pain in her body. When she told us that her knees are always hurting, we started praying for her. We ended up praying for her like 5 times and in between, she would test her knees and the pain lessened w/ each time. She was so excited, she was trying out her knees, going up and down.

Then we walked into a Nike store. I was checking out some running shoes and in walked a lady w/ a knee brace on. Again, me and the other 2 guys asked if we could pray for her. She took off the knee brace and I laid my hands on her knees. We prayed for her; she stood up and said the pain was less. We prayed again and as I was feeling her knees, I could feel like the cartilage all broken up and just bumpiness under her skin. We prayed a third time and after I felt it then, THE KNEE WAS COMPLETELY SMOOTH!! She stood up and unbelievingly told us she felt no pain whatsoever!! She was so excited she told the elderly woman nearby that God had healed her.

We prayed for others, I found my lady in the yellow dress, and we just prayed.
    It was awesome.
When all the groups got back to the church in the evening, everyone shared the awesome things God had done that afternoon--people in wheelchairs stood up and regained strength; a lady got prayed for her heroine addiction and her and her boyfriend got saved, etc etc...

The Lord is mighty to save and I look forward to so many more powerful encounters that will even sweep our TFC campus. So let it be.

Summer in the heat of the South!

I think I say this everytime now, but I miss being on xanga and everyone keeping in touch thru xanga! who knows how many ppl have unsubscribe and rarely get on this thing anymore, but facebook is just not the same. Facebook is great for quick messaging and letting people know you're thinking of them, but xanga really lets you know what's going on in people's lives (since they rarely write notes on facebook...)

Anyway, enough said about that. After visiting people in TX and going on to AZ to see my brother graduate and then going to the Grand Canyon as a family (it was awesome!! GOD is awesome!!) I came back here to GA. I've been doing my business internship in the office of admissions at Toccoa Falls College. It's been good so far. Some days get long, but then again, I am so not the indoorsy 9 to 5 kinda person...

This afternoon, I'm going to Jesus Culture!! it's a conference in Atlanta hosted by Bethel church in CA; I am really looking forward to just spending time in the Lord's presence and learning more.

Have you heard of the awesome work God is doing in Lakeland, FL? It started out as a regular conference, but God started healing people on the spot and it's like heavens just opened. So they've been extending meetings every week and they've had to take the mtgs to a tent because so many people from all over the world are going there!
My parents went there before flying back to Turkey and they saw people being healed all around them. They're now back in Turkey, and with another pastor who had been in Lakeland for a few days, are holding revival meetings! This is something so new in Turkey, but so exciting! People are being slain in the spirit, people are coming to Christ, people from other cities are coming to get anointed. To God be all the glory!!

    Till, hopefully, not too long!
